What to expect...
Patients with the following conditions should avoid MRI scans: pacemakers, defibrillator, aneurysm clips, implanted electromechical aids, and pregnant women in the first trimester. Other devices may be safer after an extended period of time, therefore, it is important to inform the technologist of your individual circumstances.
The magnet makes a muffled, knocking sound while scanning. Patients will be provided with headphones so they can listen to music to help them relax and pass the time.
Day of MRI...
Please leave all valuable at home. Such as watches, credit and bank cards, hearing aids, etc. A locker is provided before the exam. Please bring your driver’s license or state ID and insurance cards with you.
Professional Imaging is not responsible for articles damaged from being taken into the magnetic field.
All patients are required to complete and sign a screening questionnaire prior to entering the magnet room. These forms are necessary for your safety and protection. Some surgical implants are not safe to enter the magnetic field, therefore, we ask for your cooperation in completing this form as accurately as possible.
